A Place of Safety
Set in beautiful secluded grounds, Lighthouse for Women is a safe place. It is a residential, therapeutic community with a strong Christian ethos for those who need somewhere to rebuild their lives. We welcome people who need a fresh start from danger, drugs, drink, disappointment or drudgery and it is open to all women over 18, regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation or background. Residents are referred to us from many situations and we invite anyone willing to share in this healing community to join us for as long as you need a home. We also have a small selection of homes available nearby for residents who we feel ready for more independent living.

Lighthouse for Women is a place for change in both lifestyle and values.
We are a Christian residential community, providing short and long term accommodation, care and support within a safe, secure and structured environment.
We offer training for residents who want new skills and opportunities. We may even be able offer employment through our Social Enterprises.
The Christian faith is central to everything we do, and optional prayer and worship take place throughout the week. No-one is obliged to participate, but we encourage an atmosphere where staff and residents freely share their personal beliefs.
Through a dedicated team of staff and volunteers we assess a potential resident's situation and allocate key workers to signpost clients to services that will meet their personal and housing needs. All residents will be encouraged to take part in our weekly programme of activities.
